This Nacho Cheese Sauce is creamy, rich, and tangy. The recipe is simple, quick (15min), and gluten-free. Nachos without cheese should never be an option, not even on a plant-based diet.

- 1 cup cashews soaked
- 1 ½ cups water still
- 3 tbsp Deliciou "Nacho Cheese Seasoning" alternative: 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. onion powder, a pinch of turmeric, 1 ½ tbsp. nutritional yeast & ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- ½ tsp chili powder
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Put all the ingredients in a blender.
Blend well until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a pan.
Bring the sauce to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Transfer the sauce to a bowl.
Sprinkle with paprika or chili powder.
Serve with nachos.
- Add more chili powder for a spicier version.
- Use vegetable oil with a neutral flavor (such as canola oil).
