This Nacho Cheese Sauce is creamy, rich, and tangy. The recipe is simple, quick (15min), and gluten-free. Nachos without cheese should never be an option, not even on a plant-based diet.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cashews soaked
  • 1 ½ cups water still
  • 3 tbsp Deliciou "Nacho Cheese Seasoning" alternative: 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. onion powder, a pinch of turmeric, 1 ½ tbsp. nutritional yeast & ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend well until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a pan.
  • Bring the sauce to a boil.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Transfer the sauce to a bowl.
  • Sprinkle with paprika or chili powder.
  • Serve with nachos.

Notes

  • Add more chili powder for a spicier version.
  • Use vegetable oil with a neutral flavor (such as canola oil).
